Zelensky discusses ties between Ukraine, Gulf countries with Saudi crown prince

MOSCOW. Oct 24 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has discussed the development of bilateral ties between Ukraine and Saudi Arabia and Kiev's relations with Gulf countries in a phone call with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia.

"I thanked His Royal Highness for his personal efforts to make the Peace Formula meeting in Jeddah a success. I invited a Saudi representative to take part in the next round of talks in Malta and noted the importance of the Kingdom's role in preparing for the Global Peace Summit," Ukrainian media quoted Zelensky as saying on social media on Monday.

"We also discussed the situation in the Middle East. I highlighted the need of preventing further escalation of the conflict and civilian casualties," he said.
