Almost quarter of Russians happy with their income, 18% consider it bad - poll

MOSCOW. Oct 20 (Interfax) - A quarter of Russians (24%) are currently happy with their income and most of these (40%) are aged 18-30, according to the findings of a poll by the Public Opinion Foundation published on its website on Friday.

One in five (18%) said their finances were bad, with 46-60-year-olds accounting for 23% in this group, the survey found.

More than half (56%) said their income was average, this was largely the view of 31-45-year-olds who accounted for two-thirds (61%) of their age bracket, the pollster said.

Two percent of respondents had no opinion on the matter, it said.

The survey was conducted among 1,500 adults in 104 cities across 53 Russian regions on October 6-8, 2023.
