Russian government and Central Bank are preparing systemic solutions for foreign trade settlements - Mishustin

MOSCOW. Oct 19 (Interfax) - The Russian Government and the Bank of Russia are preparing systemic solutions for foreign trade settlements, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

"Many states want to do business with us; to trade and invest in Russia. I am sure that together we will learn to do without Western intermediaries and provide access to world markets on the basis of our own foreign trade infrastructure, or that created with our partners," he said at the "Made in Russia" forum.

"There is progress in this matter. Considerable progress. Our companies are finding opportunities to pay their counterparties despite all the restrictions. Together with the Central Bank, we are preparing systemic solutions in this area. They will increase the availability of settlements," Mishustin said.

Mishustin also added that Russian services for maritime insurance and export credits continue to operate. "Transactions can be made with almost all key buyers and products can be delivered on time," the Prime Minister said.
