MOSCOW. Oct 18 (Interfax) - Another three bulkers with a total deadweight of 96,400 tonnes took advantage of the provisional corridor in the Black Sea to depart the Greater Odessa ports and two other, whose total deadweight is 53,600 tonnes, to arrive there on October 17, Ukrainian media have reported with reference to Andrei Klimenko, head of the Monitoring Group from the Institute for Black Sea Strategic Studies.

Since September 16, as many as 34 vessels with a total deadweight of 1.4 million tonnes have arrived at the Greater Odessa ports and 20 others with a total deadweight of 600,000 tonnes have left them via said corridor, Klimenko said.

Five other vessels stranded at the Greater Odessa ports after February 2022 had passed via the corridor between August 16 and September 16, he said.

In particular, the vessels carrying Ukrainian cargo that successfully reached Romania's territorial waters on October 17 included the Ramus navigating under the Palauan flag, whose owner is based in the Marshall Islands, the Liberian-flagged Bull (Singapore), and the Vanuatu-flagged Bahar K (Turkey).

According to the MarineTraffic global ship tracking website, the Ramus's deadweight is 6,100 tonnes, the Bull's 82,000 tonnes, and the Bahar K's 8,300 tonnes.

At the same time, the Briza navigating under the Palauan flag, whose owner is based in Poland, and the Panamanian-flagged Majesty (Turkey) safely passed along the Ukrainian coast in the Odessa region and entered local ports, Klimenko said.

According to MarineTraffic, the Briza, whose deadweight is nearly 6,900 tonnes, is at the entrance to the Yuzhny port and the Majesty (46,700 tonnes) at the Odessa port.
