Switzerland to render humanitarian aid to Ukrainian milk producers

MOSCOW. Oct 18 (Interfax) - Switzerland will render humanitarian aid to Ukrainian milk producers, Ukrainian media said, quoting the press service for the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry.

For instance, milk producers can receive products for washing and disinfecting milking equipment and livestock buildings, pre- and post-milking udder treatment, and other hygiene products that will cover their three-month needs.

The project is coordinated by the Swiss embassy to Ukraine at the ministry's request in collaboration with the Ukrainian Association of Milk Producers, the #SaveUA international charity, and the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

The report says that milk producers in the Dnepropetrovsk, Nikolayev and Odessa regions and the Kiev-controlled parts of the Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions can choose a supplier of disinfection products procured from local sellers and distributors of Gea, DeLaval and Seed Lines hygiene products. Organized procurement of basic hygiene products will be carried out to cover the needs of applicants.

Registered legal entities, individual entrepreneurs, including family farms, and milk and dairy product market operators with registered milk production facilities are eligible for the humanitarian assistance.
