FESCO, Liaoning Port agree to develop container shipments from China to terminal outside Moscow

MOSCOW. Oct 18 (Interfax) - FESCO Transportation Group, the flagship of which is the Far Eastern Shipping Company (FESCO) , and China's Liaoning Port Group have agreed to develop container shipments from China to the Bely Rast Terminal and Logistics Center, a joint venture between Russian Railways (RZD) and Liaoning Port Group in Moscow Region, FESCO reported.

Under the cooperation agreement, the companies will also explore the possibility of organizing railway and intermodal services from China, including Liaoning province, to other Russian cities.

FESCO and Liaoning Port will also study the prospect of launching new deep sea lines from the Chinese port of Dalian to FESCO's Commercial Port of Vladivostok (VMTP) , as well as to St. Petersburg.
