European Parliament agrees to talks with Council of EU, EC on setting up Fund for Ukraine

MOSCOW. Oct 17 (Interfax) - The European Parliament has approved a mandate for trilateral negotiations with the Council of the European Union and the European Commission (EC) on establishing a 50 billion euros fund for Ukraine for the period from 2024 to 2027.

The relevant decision was voted during the European Parliament's plenary session in Strasbourg on Tuesday, Ukrainian media reported.

Furthermore, three European institutions, namely, the European Parliament, the EC and the Council of the EU will hold talks on the amendments initiated by the MEPs to the EC's previously publicized proposal.

The draft resolution will then be put to a vote in the European Parliament.
