Fuel damper is effective in medium term, but cut-off threshold for payments should be examined more closely - Dyukov

MOSCOW. Oct 13 (Interfax) - The damper mechanism for the fuel industry is effective in the medium term, but it is worth considering changing the cut-off threshold for payments, CEO of Gazprom Neft Alexander Dyukov said.

"In the medium term, it is an effective solution. The only thing, probably, could be a more careful look at the cut-off threshold determining when companies receive payments and when they do not. However, nothing lasts forever. If the market situation changes, new decisions will be made. The damper was also initially developed empirically," Dyukov told reporters on the sidelines of Russian Energy Week.
