Kazakhstan transported 31,100 tonnes of Russian oil to Uzbekistan in Q3; 25,000 tonnes planned for Oct

ALMATY. October 13 (Interfax) - KazTransOil transported 31,100 tonnes of Russian oil to Uzbekistan in the third quarter, the Kazakh pipeline operator said.

The oil is transported through Kazakhstan via the Omsk - Pavlodar - Shymkent - Shagyr route using railway tanks.

In the first quarter, 10,700 tonnes of Russian oil were transported to Uzbekistan, followed by 37,900 tonnes in the second quarter. This totals almost 80,000 tonnes of Russian oil transported to Uzbekistan through the KazTransOil main oil pipeline system in the first nine months.

For October, the company expects to transit 25,000 tonnes of Russian oil to Uzbekistan.

The plan for 2023 is to transport 180,000 tonnes of Russian oil to Uzbekistan through Kazakhstan. In the first half of the year, 48,600 tonnes were transported, and the plan for the second half is 131,500 tonnes.

The transportation of Russian oil through KazTransOil pipelines for Uzbekistan began in 2017, including 67,900 tonnes pumped in 2017 and 36,000 tonnes in 2018. There was no transportation of Russian oil through Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan in 2019-2022.

Starting from February 1, 2023, KazTransOil increased the tariff from $25.12 to $27.9 per tonne, excluding VAT.
