Gazprom Neft to help Uzbekneftegaz drill wells in Uzbekistan

MOSCOW. Oct 12 (Interfax) - Gazprom Neft and Uzbekneftegaz signed an agreement as part of the Russian Energy Week under which Gazprom Neft will help optimize drilling at fields in Uzbekistan, the Russian oil company said in a press release.

"The operator of the Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz project will develop a package of engineering approaches and solutions to build and operate wells at Uzbekneftegaz fields. It includes drilling supervision, drilling equipment audit, and recommendations for reconfiguration and selection of the best drilling fluid formulas," it said.

Gazprom Neft's technologies and expertise will help Uzbekneftegaz reduce well construction time by more than 20%. The partners are considering creating a drilling control center at Uzbekneftegaz, where they plan to to use Gazprom Neft software and its best practices in well construction.

Gazprom Neft has been creating drilling control centers that increase the efficiency of hydrocarbon production and technological processes since 2012. It currently has 10 well construction control centers with 24 hour support for drilling high-tech wells, which make up 87% of the total.
