Ukraine receives U.S. grant of $1.15 bln through World Bank - Finance Ministry

MOSCOW. Oct 12 (Interfax) - Ukraine's state budget received $1.15 billion in grant financing from the United States on Wednesday.

"Today, 11 October, the State Budget of Ukraine received a $1.15 billion grant from the USA through the World Bank's Multi-Donor Trust Fund," Ukrainian media reported, citing the Finance Ministry's post on social media.

The grant was provided as part of the fifth round of additional financing under the World Bank's Public Expenditures for Administrative Capacity Endurance (PEACE) Project in Ukraine, the ministry said.

It was reported earlier that Ukraine expects to receive another $3.3 billion of such direct budget support this year, but the U.S. authorities have not yet made the decision to release the funding.
