Zelensky sees risks of reduced support to Ukraine, but counts on partners

MOSCOW. Oct 11 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said Western countries have assured him of unchanging support to Kiev.

According to Ukrainian media reports, Zelensky said at a press conference in Brussels he had asked partners whether assistance to Ukraine would decrease "during the election period in the United States." "The partners said 'no'," Zelensky said.

"We count on our direct strong relations with the United States, with President Biden. We count on bipartisan support. And of course we count on support of our EU friends," he said.

Zelensky said Kiev sees risks of a reduction in the level of support amid the conflict in Israel and administration changes in some European countries.
