Coordination on oil issues with Saudi Arabia, other partners especially useful amid Palestinian-Israeli conflict - Kremlin

MOSCOW. Oct 11 (Interfax) - Coordination between Russia, Saudi Arabia and other partners on oil issues is particularly useful against the backdrop of the markets' reaction to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"Of course, the world oil markets are highly sensitive to the developments that are now unfolding around the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. It is difficult to overestimate the significance of our coordination with the Saudis and other partners of ours which takes place on a regular basis," Peskov told reporters.

"The [Saudi energy] minister's visit to Moscow will offer a good opportunity for that," Peskov said after being asked whether a possible change in the position of Russia and other oil producers in light of the ongoing escalation in the Middle East would be discussed with Saudi Arabia's energy minister today.
