UN Development Program to provide technical support in restoring sites in Kiev region

MOSCOW. Oct 11 (Interfax) - The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) will provide the Kiev region with technical support in restoring 56 sites through the Liquidation Fund under agreements with the regional administration.

"Owing to funding provided by the fund, the Kiev region is restoring 30 residential houses and 26 public facilities in 18 communities. We'll be able to return over 5,300 residents to their homes. In particular, the reconstruction of schools, kindergartens, and hospitals is planned," Ukrainian media quoted Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the Kiev regional administration, as saying on his social account.

The UNDP will start providing support on engineering, financial, and anti-corruption aspects starting November 2023.

The UNDP is already providing technical assistance in reconstructing 18 apartment blocks in the Kiev region, where 13,000 sites have been fully or partially restored by now.
