Greater Odessa ports receive 3 more vessels

MOSCOW. Oct 11 (Interfax) - The ports of the Greater Odessa have received three more bulkers that have passed via a provisional corridor in the Black Sea, Ukrainian media have reported with reference to Andrei Klimenko, head of the Monitoring Group from the Institute for Black Sea Strategic Studies.

These vessels are the Imperator, whose owner is based in Greece, the Wu Yang Glory, China, and the Falcona, Ukraine, he said.

According to MarineTraffic, the Imperator, whose deadweight is 18,900 tonnes, has arrived at the Greater Odessa ports under the Marshall Islands flag.

The Wu Yang Glory, whose deadweight is 75,500 tonnes, is sailing under the Liberian flag, and the Falcona, with a deadweight of 2,200 tonnes, is Cameroon-flagged.

"Hence, 20 vessels with a total deadweight of 668,900 tonnes have arrived at the Greater Odessa ports via the Ukrainian corridor since September 16, 2023," Klimenko said.

Unlike the previously operating grain corridor, the new corridor has been used by vessels carrying not only food products, but also other cargo, including mining and smelting products or containers, he said.
