Ukraine, Denmark sign memorandum of understanding on cooperation in agricultural sector

MOSCOW. Oct 11 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Nikolai Solsky and Danish Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Jacob Jensen have signed a memorandum of understanding between the two agencies, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the Ukrainian ministry on Wednesday.

"The signing of the memorandum is aimed at promoting long-term strategic cooperation to make food production and agricultural sector development more efficient and sustainable," it said.

The parties will exchange information and best practices on green transition in the agriculture and food systems sector, including common policies and climate solutions, as well as on food security, it said.

Ukraine's and Denmark's common interests also cover the development of the animal husbandry sector, including management, health, breeding, feed, and organic farming.

Ukraine and Denmark will set up a joint taskforce to identify areas of cooperation.
