Novak: Russian cos from various sectors thinking of localizing production in Saudi Arabia
MOSCOW. Oct 11 (Interfax) - Russian companies from various industrial sectors are exploring the possibility of localizing production in Saudi Arabia, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said, opening a meeting of the intergovernmental commission of the two countries, taking place in the framework of the Russian Energy Week.
"Russian business has the necessary skills to develop cooperation with Saudi partners in priority industrial sectors. Companies from the metallurgy, automotive, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, as well as manufacturers of medical, energy and oil and gas equipment are looking at opportunities to localize production," Novak said.
He said the creation of a working group on industry was an important step in industrial cooperation between the two countries.
