Russian govt not currently planning to raise taxes on oil cos to offset damper increase - Novak

MOSCOW. Oct 11 (Interfax) - The Russian government is not currently planning to increase the tax burden on oil companies in order to offset budget spending on increasing damper fuel subsidy payments to them, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters.

"Everything will be taken into account in the budget corrections. Without increasing the tax burden," Novak said.

However, he added that the budget bill will soon be considered in the second reading. "We'll see. It's better to put these questions to the Finance Ministry," Novak said.

Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov said earlier that any changes to the damper subsidy for fuel must be neutral for the budget.
