Vehicles have to wait for 11-13 days to cross Ukraine's border with Romania, Moldova, Poland - website data

MOSCOW. Oct 10 (Interfax) - Vehicles have to wait for 11-13 days at Ukraine's western border crossings to enter Romania, Moldova or Poland, Ukrainian media said, citing data on the e-Cherga service's website.

The longest lines are being observed at the Yagodin-Dorohusk crossing point on the border with Poland for 1-24 group commodities under the Ukrainian Classification of Goods for Foreign Trade (UKTZED) - 12 days and 18 minutes. There are currently such 593 vehicles in line at this border crossing.

The waiting time for other vehicles at the Yagodin-Dorohusk border crossing is 8 days, 16 hours and 57 minutes. This line consists of 4,316 vehicles.

The waiting time for UKTZED 1-24 group commodities at the Rava Ruska-Hrebenne border crossing is 12 days, 7 hours and 24 minutes (641 vehicles) and for other vehicles is 9 days, 2 hours and 52 minutes (1,899).

The line for UKTZED 1-24 group commodities at the Krakovets-Korczowa border crossing is 11 days, 3 hours and 35 minutes (850 vehicles), while all other vehicles (1,371) have to wait for 7 days, 10 hours and 40 minutes to cross the border.

At the Ustilug-Zosin border crossing, the waiting time for trucks without cargo (1,379) is 9 days, 9 hours and 50 minutes, at the Shegini-Medyka crossing point it is 7 days, 22 hours and 16 minutes (1,444 such vehicles), and at the Nizhankovichi-Malhowice border crossing, where 1,208 empty trucks are currently in line, it is 6 days, 6 hours and 32 minutes.

On the border with Moldova, the longest line of vehicles (556) can be seen at the Reni-Giurgiulesti border crossing, where the waiting time is 13 days and 3 hours.

The operations of the Orlovka ferry service on the border with Romania were suspended on October 6. Vehicle there have to wait to 13 days, 6 hours and 11 minutes to cross the border. The line is 1,133 vehicles.

The waiting time at the Porubnoye-Siret on the border with Romania is 11 days, 8 hours and 39 minutes (2,381 vehicles are currently in line) and is 4 days and 17 hours at the Dyakove-Halmeu border crossing (578 vehicles).

The waiting time at the Chop (Tisa) - Zahony on the border with Hungary is 5 days, 8 hours and 30 minutes (1,576 vehicles).

Lines at border crossing will be reduced within the next week, media outlets said, citing Deputy Minister for Restoration Sergei Derkach's statement on social media.

"Of course, we understand that having to wait at home for 10-12 days with cargo is not about business and normal work at all. We have initiated a number of meetings with the relevant services to ensure the stable functioning of the border," Derkach said, adding that he had separately communicated with trucking companies that increased the line on the border on purpose.
