Eren Holding explores investment opportunities in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. Oct 9 (Interfax) - The head of Turkish Eren Holding, Ahmet Eren, announced the holding's readiness to study potential projects in Kazakhstan and to make investment decisions, the government press service said.

Kazakhstan's Prime Minister, Alikhan Smailov, discussed prospects for launching new investment projects in various sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan with Eren, the press service said.

"We are ready to expand and explore investment opportunities in various sectors, including paper production, energy, the textile industry, and the mining and metallurgical complex. We possess advanced technologies to ensure high-quality work. We are keen to collaborate and discuss potential investment ventures," Ahmet Eren was quoted as saying by the Kazakh government's press service.

Prime Minister Smailov noted that the government of Kazakhstan highly appreciates the holding's intention to invest in projects in the republic.

"I am confident that the existing degree of special trust between our countries and the common desire for cooperation will allow us to open up new prospects," the Prime Minister said.

There are currently over 4,000 companies with Turkish investments actively operating in Kazakhstan. These projects span various sectors, including mining and metallurgy, infrastructure, food production, and pharmaceuticals.

Eren Holding, based in Istanbul, is a diversified holding with interests in paper, packaging, cement, energy, retail, and textiles. It was founded in 1997, and its Chairman is Ahmet Eren.
