Russian Energy Ministry does not foresee risk of losing diesel fuel export markets because of supply restrictions - First Deputy Minister

MOSCOW. Oct 9 (Interfax) - Russia does not see a risk of diesel fuel export markets being lost because of the introduction of a ban on shipments abroad for several weeks, Russian First Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin said in an interview with RBC TV.

"For the period [of restrictive measures] that is in force: no, we don't see a risk. The reaction was prompt, and measures were taken in a timely manner. We don't see a risk," Sorokin said in response to a question about a possible loss of export markets for diesel fuel.

The measures to stabilize fuel prices taken by the Russian government on Friday are systemic and should allow the market to "exist normally in the current macro conditions," he said.
