Ukraine's Nova Poshta opens first outlet in Slovakia

MOSCOW. Oct 9 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Nova Poshta (Nova Post) Group of Companies has opened its first Nova Post branch in Slovakia, in the capital Bratislava, Ukrainian media said, citing the group's press release.

"We have already invested more than 100,000 euros in entering the Slovak market and plan to actively develop our own network here, including the possibility of delivery to partner parcel terminals throughout the country," Nova Post Europe CEO Alexander Lisovets said.

The first Nova Post branch in Bratislava is open every day. In it, private clients and businesses can receive and send parcels weighing up to 100 kg.

The Nova Post courier delivery service is also available to any address throughout Slovakia. The courier pickup service is also available via the Nova Post website and mobile application. Delivery from Slovakia to Ukraine will take up to five days.

The cost of delivery from Slovakia to Ukraine is 12 euros for documents, 15, 20 and 35 euros for parcels weighing 2 kg, 10 kg and 30 kg, respectively, and 1.2 euros per kg for parcels weighing 30 to 100 kg.

Delivery or pickup by courier is paid additionally 3 euros for shipments up to 30 kg or 8 euros for each kg for shipments from 31 to 100 kg.

A promo code with a 15% discount valid for delivery services from Slovakia to Ukraine is available to all Nova Post clients on the company's website.

As reported, Nova Post operates 62 branches in Poland, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Romania, Germany, and Moldova.

As of early July 2023, Nova Post operated over 10,000 outlets and over 14,000 parcel lockers in Ukraine.

Nova Poshta Group consists of Ukrainian and foreign companies, including Nova Poshta, NP Logistics, the NovaPay payment system, and Nova Poshta Global.
