Russia allocates 500 mln rubles to support developers of promising tech, new materials

MOSCOW. Oct 9 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has signed an order to allocate 500 million rubles to support development of new promising technologies and materials.

"The subsidies for implementation of innovative projects will be provided through the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the National Technology Initiative Project Support Fund to National Technology Initiative centers created on the basis of the largest Russian higher education institutions," the Cabinet said on its website on Sunday.

Support for the development and introduction of new technologies and materials will help achieve key objectives related to the development of high-tech sectors of industry and strengthen Russia's technological sovereignty, the statement said.
