Some Ukrainian regions facing problems with power supply - Energy Ministry

MOSCOW. Oct 6 (Interfax) - Thirty-three enterprises and 127 households in Kharkov are currently without electricity after local power lines were damaged, Ukrainian media said on Friday, citing the Ukrainian Energy Ministry.

Meanwhile, repair teams have restored power supply to 50,000 consumers in the Kiev region after a 110 kV electrical substation was temporarily disconnected from the grid by its safety system, the ministry said on social media. In particular, a power outage was reported in the city of Belya Tserkov.

Power supply was also disrupted to 23 populated localities in the Kiev-controlled part of the Donetsk region, the ministry said. A number of consumers in the Sumy, Kharkov and Chernigov regions and some areas of the Kiev-controlled part of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions were left without electricity as well.

Restrictions totaling 404 MW were imposed on electricity production from renewable resources on October 5 (there was no information on such restrictions as of October 4), it said.

Electricity imports to Ukraine increased slightly from 900 MWh on Thursday to 1,017 MWh on Friday, October 6, according to data on the ENTSO-E website. Ukraine is importing this electricity from Slovakia. Meanwhile, electricity exports from Ukraine (to Slovakia and Moldova) also grew from 1,454 MWh to 1,622 MWh.
