Aeroflot to fly from Yekaterinburg to Phuket starting Oct 30

YEKATERINBURG. Oct 6 (Interfax) - Aeroflot will launch direct flights from Yekaterinburg to Phuket, Thailand for the first time on October 30, the airline's press service reports.

Regular flights will be operated twice a week on wide-body Airbus A330s.

In the autumn-winter schedule, flights from Yekaterinburg (Koltsovo airport) are scheduled on Mondays and Thursdays, with return flights from Phuket on Mondays and Fridays.

Phuket will become the second destination in Thailand serviced by Aeroflot from Yekaterinburg, the report clarifies.

As reported, the airline launched direct flights on the Ekaterinburg-Bangkok route starting October 2.

Currently, there are no airlines flying to Phuket from Yekaterinburg. However, Ikar Airlines, Red Wings and Azur Air have flights planned to the destination during the autumn-winter navigation period.

Koltsovo International Airport is one of Russia's largest regional airports in terms of passenger traffic. It is managed by the Airports of Regions Management Company.
