Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan compare notes on bilateral, regional issues

BAKU. Oct 6 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani presidential aide and head of the Presidential Executive Office's foreign policy department Hikmet Hajiyev has met with Kazakh Ambassador in Baku Alim Bayel on Thursday.

"The parties were pleased to note the accelerated pace of bilateral cooperation at the meeting. The parties also discussed topical issues on the regional and international agenda. They focused on transport and logistics cooperation and communications. The importance of the upcoming tenth anniversary Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held in Astana on November 3, 2023, was also highlighted," the Kazakh embassy said.

At the meeting, Hajiyev thanked Kazakhstan for its support and constructive approach to developing bilateral and multilateral relations and addressing regional issues.

For his part, Ambassador Bayel noted that Kazakhstan stands for peace and mutually beneficial cooperation in the region.

"The parties agreed to pursue the established practice of regular meetings to compare notes," the Kazakh embassy in Azerbaijan said.
