Int'l audit companies monitoring Ukraine's use of funds from donors and partners - PM

MOSCOW. Oct 5 (Interfax) - International audit and consulting companies Deloitte Consulting and PricewaterhouseCoopers are helping monitor how Ukraine is spending the aid received from its partners and donors, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"We are monitoring the use of direct budget assistance from partners together with the Deloitte Consulting company. We are checking the transparency of spending donor funds together with PwC Ukraine audit company," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying on Thursday at the presentation of an anti-corruption program prepared by the Ministry for the Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure.

Control over the use of international partners' funds is a priority of the state anti-corruption program, along with procurement transparency, digitalization, changes in the management of state-owned enterprises, and steps to expand the powers of anti-corruption authorities, the prime minister said.
