Situation with overstocking transport system with diesel being resolved; we are considering what to do going forward - Russian Energy Minister

ASTANA. Oct 4 (Interfax) - The current situation with overstocking the transport system with diesel fuel is being resolved, and departments at all levels are considering what to do going forward, Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov told reporters regarding the matter with the ban on fuel exports possibly being lifted.

"The topic is still under discussion at all levels," Shulginov added.

"If the problems were unresolvable, then we would probably have already seen unloading [of refineries]. We do not see any unloading at refineries thus far. Therefore, all the current problems that arise are being resolved. However, we are thinking about what to do next," Shulginov said.

According to Shulginov, "the decisions will be published soon."

Commenting on the possibility of shutting down oil refineries, Shulginov emphasized that, "We know everything; we know the situation at each refinery, the storage capacity and so on; and we are taking all of this into account. Our task is to prevent refineries from being unloaded," he emphasized.
