NWF funds to construct high-speed railways not yet pledged - Russian Finance Minister

MOSCOW. Oct 3 (Interfax) - Constructing high-speed railways has not yet been included in the list of projects for which financing from the National Wealth Fund (NWF) has been approved, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said in a statement.

When speaking with reporters, Siluanov recalled that 4.2 trillion rubles from the NWF have currently been reserved for various investment projects.

"There are none [high-speed railways in the amount]. In order to include high-speed railways, it is necessary either to increase the amount or to render a redistribution internally," the minister said.

"This decision will be discussed in the government," Siluanov added.
