UWC General Director Olyunin resigns, Deputy General Director for Finance Limarenko becomes new CEO - company

MOSCOW. Oct 2 (Interfax) - The board of directors of Research and Production Corporation "United Wagon Company" (RPC UWC) has appointed Sergey Limarenko the company's general director, accepting the resignation of Dmitry Olyunin, according to information published on the corporation's website.

Sergey Limarenko has held the position of Deputy General Director for Finance at UWC since 2021, and he is also a member of the company's board. Before joining UWC, he was Director of Economics at PJSC TransContainer .

"The board of directors thanks Dmitry Olyunin for his work, for strengthening the financial position and restoring the production activities of UWC Group, and also for achieving other tasks set for him, and wishes him success in new projects. The main tasks of the new general director will be further developing production and joint work with Trust on the deal to sell the company," Alexander Sokolov, chairman of the board of directors of UWC and president and CEO of the Trust bank of non-core assets, was quoted as saying.

Olyunin became head of UWC in November 2022. He replaced Timofey Khryapov, who had led the company since 2018.

UWC is one of Russia's largest manufacturers of increased lift capacity railcars. The company's assets include the Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant, the machine-building enterprise TikhvinKhimMash, the enterprise TikhvinSpetsMash, which manufactures specialized new-generation cargo railcars, one of Russia's largest spring manufacturers Pruzhina, the leasing company Rail 1520, the assembly plant Titran-Express, and also national transport technology research institutes.

According to the most recent information, the largest shareholders of UWC included Trust bank, which holds 27.76%.
