Kazakhstan to abide by Russia sanctions - Tokayev

ASTANA. Sept 28 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan will abide by the sanctions imposed on Russia, and there should be no worries on this account, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has said.

"Kazakhstan has declared unambiguously that it will follow the sanctions regime. We maintain contacts with the relevant organizations on observing the sanctions regime, and I believe Germany should have no worries regarding possible steps to circumvent the sanctions regime," Tokayev said in a video that a number of media outlets have circulated on social media.

As reported, Tokayev arrived in Germany for an official visit on Thursday. He will negotiate with top German officials and take part in a meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian states and Germany.

Tokayev is also expected to speak at the Berlin Global Dialogue international forum and hold a series of meetings with German business leaders.
