Moscow Exchange expects new IPOs this year

MOSCOW. Sept 28 (Interfax) - The Moscow Exchange expects new initial public offerings to be carried out before the end of 2022, exchange CEO Yury Denisov said.

"Many companies want to go public and we expect new IPOs by the end of the year. When exactly depends on the market," Denisov told reporters.

Denisov said in June that he expected about 10 IPOs in 2023 and up to 40 in the next few years.

Genetic and reproductive medicine center Genetico, a subsidiary of Artgen Biotech, carried out an IPO in April, and Smarttechgroup, whose main asset is microfinance company CarMoney , held an IPO in July.

RBC, citing sources, reported on Wednesday that retailer Henderson, which is developing a chain of men's clothing stores in Russia, plans to carry out an IPO on the Moscow Exchange in the fourth quarter of 2023.
