Shmygal discusses joint energy initiatives with EBRD president

MOSCOW. Sept 27 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) President Odile Renaud-Basso have discussed the implementation of joint initiatives in the energy sector.

"The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is among Ukraine's key partners," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying on his social account, following his meeting with Renaud-Basso in Kiev.

"The EBRD has committed itself to investing 3 billion euros within two years in our country. The bank's support helps ensure stable work of critical infrastructure and the private sector," he said.

As for joint initiatives discussed by the parties, including in the energy sector, Shmygal said the EBRD is preparing new projects with Ukrenergo and Naftogaz.
