Daimler liquidates Russian buses service subsidiary EvoBus
MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax) - German automaker Daimler AG liquidated bus service subsidiary EvoBus Russland LLC effective September 25, which had worked in Russia since 1999, data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities showed.
EvoBus GmbH, Daimlers bus division in Europe, was established in 1995 and EvoBus Russland was registered in Moscow in 1999. The company, which also had a branch in Moscow Region, represented the Mercedes-Benz and Setra brands on the Russian market, distributed spare parts and provided service maintenance.
The company carried out many contracts with city transport company Mosgortrans to service Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Setra buses and supply spare parts. The company had also been the official service center for Mercedes-Benz trucks since 2019.
The Russian EvoBus subsidiary reported a loss of 187 million rubles in 2022 compared to a profit the previous year, as revenue fell to 354 million rubles from 661 million rubles.
