Russian govt removes marine fuel, gas oils, middle distillates from export ban

MOSCOW. Sept 25 (Interfax) - The Russian government has clarified the list of petroleum products that are subject to the temporary ban on exports.

According to government resolution No. 1564 published on September 23, marine fuels, gas oils, and middle distillates have been excluded from the ban.

Moreover, the exception to permitting exports of petroleum products specified in the resolution to South Ossetia and Abkhazia has been cancelled.

The government has also clarified that it is possible to export those petroleum products that have been issued for transportation through the Transneft system in addition to those for which permits for export from Russian Railways or assignments for loading onto sea vessels were issued at the time of the resolution being issued.
