Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan sign $65 million in trade deals

ASTANA. Sept 25 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have signed commercial agreements worth a total of $65 million during the First Forum of Interregional Cooperation held in Taraz, the press service of the Kazakh Prime Minister said.

"Over two days at the forum, a series of commercial documents were signed, paving the way for trade deals involving poultry meat, medical supplies, confectionery products, complex microfertilizers, ammophos, sodium cyanide, limestone, shale, trade services and initiatives for light industry and banking," Saturday's press release said.

In addition, the mayors of the cities of Shymkent and Osh, and the Governors of the Aktobe and Jalal-Abad regions, signed memoranda on the establishment of closer relations.
