Ukraine's GDP grows by 19.5% in Q2 - State Statistics Service

MOSCOW. Sept 25 (Interfax) - Ukraine's real GDP grew by 19.5% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2023 after contracting by 10.5% in the first quarter and by 31.4% in the fourth quarter of 2022, Ukrainian media reported, citing the country's State Statistics Service.

The country's GDP grew by a seasonally adjusted 0.8% quarter-on-quarter in the second quarter.

Ukraine's GDP shrank by 29.1% in 2022 overall, data from the Statistics Service showed.

The National Bank of Ukraine raised its GDP growth forecast in late July to 2.9% from 2% for 2023, but lowered it to 3.5% from 4.3% for 2024. The Economics Ministry expects GDP to grow by 4% this year and 5% in 2024.
