Lavrov holds talks with Guterres in New York
UN. Sept 22 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has met with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin told reporters earlier that at their meeting Lavrov and Guterres would discuss, among other issues, the grain deal and problems surrounding the implementation of the Istanbul Agreements on facilitating the export of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers.
On Thursday, Lavrov met with the president of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen, the foreign ministers of Egypt, Thailand, Cuba, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Mali, Burkina Faso and Pakistan, and the head of Sudan's Sovereignty Council.
The meeting with Guterres wraps up the second day of Lavrov's participation in the High-Level Week of the UN General Assembly.
