Reps of Azerbaijan and Karabakh's Armenians meeting in Yevlakh - media

BAKU. Sept 21 (Interfax) - A meeting between Azerbaijan's delegation and representatives of Karabakh's Armenian population started in Yevlakh on Thursday, Azerbaijani media said.

The Azerbaijani delegation to the talks is being led by MP Ramin Mamedov, who was appointed by President Ilham Aliyev in March to coordinate contacts with the Armenian population of the Karabakh region.

The Armenian side is being represented by members of the parliament of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic David Melkumyan and Areg Avagyan.

The command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh is mediating the talks.
