Fifty-one percent of Russians see no need to get flu shot every year - poll
MOSCOW. Sept 20 (Interfax) - Fifty-one percent of Russian citizens do not consider it necessary to get vaccinated against flu every year, the findings of a public opinion survey conducted by the Research Center of the SuperJob.ru website show.
Respondents with a monthly income of 80,000 rubles and more (58%) voiced this opinion more often, the poll results indicate.
Meanwhile, 28% of those polled, mostly respondents 34 years of age or younger (33%), believe that it is necessary to get a flu shot every year if there are no contraindications to vaccination.
Twenty-one percent of respondents could not answer the question, the pollster said.
The public opinion survey was conducted among 1,600 people in 368 populated localities on September 12-19.
