Preventive maintenance on Power of Siberia pipeline to take place from Sept 21-27

MOSCOW. Sept 20 (Interfax) - Autumn preventive maintenance work on the Power of Siberia export pipeline to China will start on Thursday, Gazprom said in a statement.

"From September 21 to 27, the Power of Siberia gas pipeline will undergo scheduled preventive maintenance. Gas transportation will be temporarily suspended for this period," the company said.

In accordance with the gas purchase and sale agreement for the Eastern route between Gazprom and the Chinese company CNPC, preventive maintenance of the equipment and systems of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline is carried out twice a year: in spring and in autumn, Gazprom said.

Russian gas supplies to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline began in 2019. For 2023, the contracted volume is 22 billion cubic meters.
