Unigreen Energy installs network of low-capacity power supply systems at T Plus heating stations in Togliatti

SAMARA. Sept 18 (Interfax) - Unigreen Energy has installed low-capacity solar power plants on the roofs of the central heat supply stations of the T Plus energy company in Togliatti, Unigreen Energy said in a statement.

As part of the pilot project, 10 network power-supply systems of 10 kW to 30 kW have been installed, with total installed capacity of 200 kW. Forecasted annual output totals 227,000 kWh, which should improve the energy efficiency of the central heat supply stations by reducing the offtake of electricity from the network.

As noted, the slope angle of the solar modules was chosen to account for hourly consumption of electricity at the central heat supply stations, thus "ensuring the most efficient use of the solar modules".

Central heat supply stations consume much electricity year-round in order to operate the equipment, with the points connected to the network at low voltage, and the cost per kilowatt-hour for the facilities is on average higher than for consumers connected to the network at high voltage.

Unigreen Energy operates in the area of renewable energy, and is implementing renewable energy projects in Africa, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Asia, and Latin America. The company's project portfolio for constructing renewable power generation exceeds 1.5 GW.
