Kazakhstan, Qatar mulling cooperation in energy, geological exploration, agriculture

ASTANA. Sept 13 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the owners of Qatari-based Power International Holding Ramez Al-Khayyat and Muataz Al-Khayat on Wednesday to discuss cooperation in energy and geological exploration.

"The parties also discussed the prospects for collaboration in agriculture, development projects, and healthcare," the president's press office said.

Tokayev said Power International Holding could play an essential role in establishing economic ties between Kazakhstan and Qatar, "our country's strategic partner in the Middle East."
