MegaFon opening business in Kyrgyzstan, to start operations in Bishkek in Oct

MOSCOW. Sept 13 (Interfax) - MegaFon has registered a representative office in Kyrgyzstan and will begin working in Bishkek in October, the Russian mobile services provider said in a press release.

The company said it will focus on implementing digital projects for businesses and the public.

The office in Kyrgyzstan will be headed by Alexander Kaloshin, the director of MegaFon's national projects. The company said he will combine his new position with work on implementing information and communications technology projects in Russia.

MegaFon is planning a number of pilot projects in Kyrgyzstan in various social and industrial sectors before the end of the year.

The company said is implementing projects to improve the urban environment and transport safety, as well as projects in industry that involve solutions aimed at digitizing production processes.
