Russian cosmonaut Fedyayev back from U.S. for post-flight rehabilitation

MOSCOW. Sept 12 (Interfax) - Russian cosmonaut Andrei Fedyayev has returned from the United States for post-flight rehabilitation at Star City, Roscosmos said on Tuesday.

"Andrei Fedyayev, cosmonaut of the Roscosmos state corporation, arrived in Star City from the United States last night, following his return from the International Space Station (ISS)," the corporation said.

He will continue post-flight rehabilitation, which began in the United States, and will undergo a series of medical checks and scientific examinations in Star City, it said.

Crew Dragon 6 with Fedyayev onboard splashed down in the Atlantic on September 4.

The international crew, which spent six months at the station, consisted of NASA astronauts Stephen Bowen and Woody Hoburg, UAE astronaut Sultan al-Neyadi and Fedyayev.

Back in July 2022, Roscosmos and NASA signed an agreement on cross-flights of three Russian cosmonauts on U.S. Crew Dragon spaceships and three U.S. astronauts on Russian Soyuz MS spaceships under the ISS program in 2022-2024.
