Lipetsk Meat will ship 1,700 tonnes of beef from Russia to China in 2023

VORONEZH. Sept 12 (Interfax) - Lipetsk Meat LLC started shipping frozen beef to China under an agreement concluded in May of this year, the company said in a statement.

The company will ship 1,700 tonnes of over 40 varieties of frozen beef products by the end of 2023, the agreement signed with Chinese importers says. The total value of the contracts is 800 million rubles.

The first test shipment of five containers carrying 137 tonnes of products was completed at the end of July. Within two months, Lipetsk Meat plans to switch from weekly to daily shipments of at least 2 containers, or up to 55 tonnes, of products.

"We have serious plans for business development, and this imposes obligations for the further modernization of the enterprise, the optimization of technological processes, packaging equipment, and warehousing," co-owner and General Director Sergei Oganov said.

It is also reported that Lipetsk Meat intends to export up to 80% of all its products within several years.

Lipetsk Meat LLC was created in 2021 at the production facilities of the Albif company and produces premium beef.

According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the co-owners of the LLC are Sergey Medvedev (65%), Sergey Oganov (32.5%) and Anatoly Velmatov (2.5%).
