Novatek in talks on bringing partners into Ob LNG, including from among shareholders of cos other LNG projects
VLADIVOSTOK. Sept 12 (Interfax) - Novatek is in talks on attracting partners to the Ob LNG project, namely from among the shareholders of its other LNG projects, CEO Leonid Mikhelson told reporters.
"We have started on Ob LNG. They are interested, they are looking at it," he said.
The Novatek chief noted that negotiations are being held particularly with the shareholders [of the company's other LNG projects].
"Primarily, yes. Others are looking at it, and the shareholders are getting in there and examining things," he said.
The Ob LNG project is due to implemented on the basis of Verkhnetiuteyskoye and Zapadno-Seyakhinskoye fields in Yamal using Novatek's own liquefaction technology - 2 lines of 3 million tonnes of LNG per year.
