Digital ruble will help develop international trade not exposed to sanctions risk - prosecutor

MOSCOW. Sept 12 (Interfax) - The introduction of a digital ruble in Russia will facilitate the development of international trade not exposes to sanctions risk, Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov said.

"The digital ruble, despite all the speculation filling the Internet, will facilitate the development of international trade not exposed to the risks of sanctions pressure. This, of course, will only improve the business environment and investment climate," Krasnov said at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.

He also said he is confident that government measures to influence the social and economic situation in the region and the country in general will have a positive impact. "There is every possibility for this: a regulatory framework, the introduction of modern technologies in government administration and the economy," Krasnov said.

He also said that, as part of monitoring compliance with laws in the course of the implementation of national projects, attention will also be devoted to the accessibility of education, healthcare, social services, support for tourism and development of cultural centers.
