ASTANA. Sept 11 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's QazaqGaz plans to put the Anabay gas field on stream by the end of 2023, the presidential press service said.

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had a meeting with the chief executive officer of QazaqGaz, Sanzhar Zharkeshov, on Monday.

"The CEO of QazaqGaz said that the new gas field Anabay will go commercially on stream by the end of 2023. In addition, the company has started preparations for the development of the Pridorozhnoye field," the press release says.

QazaqGaz said earlier that the new Anabay gas field would be put into operation in the third quarter of 2023.

The Anabay field is located 210 km north of the city of Taraz. Its gas reserves were estimated at 3-4 billion cubic meters in 2013.
