Kazakhstan could build container terminal in Azerbaijan - ambassador to Baku

BAKU. Sept 11 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan could build a container terminal in one of the ports in Azerbaijan, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Alim Bayel said on Monday during a round table meeting on the topic "Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Relations: Regional Cooperation."

"Kazakhstan has started building a terminal in Poti, Georgia, and is ready to build its own terminal in Azerbaijan as well," the ambassador said.

Later, the diplomat told Interfax that the container terminal could be located "either in Alyat or Govsan." However, he did not disclose project details, noting that "this is still at the level of an idea."
